Crypto.com's ai.com Agent Remains Unlaunched Eight Months After Super Bowl Ad

The exchange says the platform is still "building in stealth mode," while Robinhood, Kraken and Bitget have already shipped narrower AI trading tools.

Crypto.com's consumer AI agent business, ai.com, has yet to open to the public roughly eight months after a Super Bowl commercial pushed so much traffic to its site that it went down within minutes.

The page still tells visitors that agent generation is queued because of high demand. A Crypto.com spokesperson told Cointelegraph the platform remains under development, saying ai.com "continues building in stealth mode" and that more detail will come at full public launch.

The February spot, which ran in the fourth quarter of the game, cost $15 million. It invited viewers to reserve a handle for a personal AI agent, and the volume of sign-ups overwhelmed the site. The product was pitched well beyond crypto: organizing work, sending messages, operating across applications, building projects, and even updating dating profiles. Crypto.com also said the agents would be able to develop capabilities they lacked and distribute those improvements across the network.

That breadth is the difficulty. Rival exchanges have moved ahead by narrowing the scope. Robinhood announced in-app AI agents capable of automated trading on Tuesday. Kraken added AI-powered tools in July that surface investment ideas and trades based on a user's stated goals. Bitget released its own crypto trading assistant, GetAgent, in June.

General-purpose AI developers have advanced on the same ground. Anthropic brought computer use to Claude Cowork in March, and OpenAI followed in July with ChatGPT Work, an agent built to carry out multistep tasks across linked applications and files.

Crypto.com's other AI moves

Crypto.com has not been idle on AI elsewhere. In March it integrated with OpenClaw, letting customers run a personal trading agent that executes orders. Also in March, the company cut about 12% of its workforce, citing AI integration across the business; a spokesperson said at the time the reduction was part of shifting resources toward priority growth areas. The same month brought ISO/IEC 42001:2023 certification, an international standard for AI management systems that covers governance and responsible development and deployment.

ai.com functions as a separate business line under Crypto.com rather than a product folded into the exchange's main app, which helps explain why an advertised consumer launch can stall while trading tools ship. Nothing in the company's public statements sets a date for the agent's release.
